Hockley Valley Resort "Win Your Wedding" Contest Terms and Conditions
Overview
Start with a memorable rehearsal dinner for 12 the night before, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration. On your big day, walk down the aisle in a stunning event space with Enduring Promises officiating your ceremony. After saying “I do,” toast with sparkling wine and enjoy a delectable reception with hors d’oeuvres. Delight in a sumptuous 3-course dinner for 100 guests, complemented by wine and a late-night food service to keep the festivities going. With a 4-hour bar package and elegant head table setup with fine linens, every detail will be perfect. Finally, dance the night away with DJ Master Mix, making memories that will last a lifetime. After a night of celebration, relax with a 2-night stay for the bride and groom, complete with champagne and cheese, plus 2 additional guest rooms. This is your chance to experience a flawless, luxury wedding—seize it!
Contest Period
- The contest runs from September 10, 2024, to June 30, 2025.
- All signed contracts must be received by 11:59 PM EST on June 30, 2025.
Eligibility
- This contest is open to legal residents of Canada, aged 19 years or older at the time of entry.
- Employees, agents, or representatives of Hockley Valley Resort, Adamo Estate Winery, Sunray Group and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
- Only new bookings on or after September 10th, 2024 are eligible for this contest.
How to Enter
- Book a wedding at Hockley Valley Resort for a date between July 1, 2025, and March 30, 2026.
- Participants must read and submit the contest terms and conditions form below.
- The contract must be signed and first deposit received by June 30, 2025.
The Prize
The prize consists of a wedding package for 100 guests at Hockley Valley Resort. The prize includes the following:
- Ceremony event space
- Wedding event space
- Sparkling wine and Hors d’Oeuvres reception
- 3 Course Dinner for 100 persons.
- Late Night food service for 100 persons.
- Wine with dinner.
- 4-hour bar package
- Menu and bar specifics are available from your Sales Manager.
- Standard table linens
- 2-night accommodation at Hockley Valley Resort for Bride & Groom with Champagne and cheese amenity
- 2 additional rooms for one night.
- 12-person rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding
- DJ services provided by DJ Master Mix – Valued at $2,034
- Officiant provided by Enduring Promises – Valued at $620
- Wedding Dress credit provided by Best For Bride – valued at $500
- Menswear provided by 4 Men United – Valued at $600
- Lighting provided by Stagevision – Valued at $1,795
- Decor credit provided by Chai Weddings – Valued at $904
- Wedding Cake Credit provided by Fancy That Cake – Valued at $565
- Bridal Makeup provided by Charm Artistry – Valued at $790
- Pianist for ceremony & cocktail hour by The Blacktie Pianist – Valued at $1,695
- Photography credit provided by Little Blue Lemon – Valued at $1300 ($500 credit for wedding photography & $650 for engagement shoot)
- The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and has no cash value.
Value: $39,200 inclusive of taxes and gratuities
Winner Selection and Notification
- The Winner will be selected through a random draw from all eligible entries.
- The draw will take place on July 1, 2025.
- The Winner will be notified via email/phone by their designated Sales Manager within 7 days of the draw.
- Upon acceptance of the prize, the Winner will be announced on Hockley Valley Resorts Social Media.
Prize Acceptance
- The Winner must confirm acceptance of the prize within 7 days of notification.
- If the Winner fails to respond within the specified timeframe, an alternate Winner will be chosen.
Photography Agreement
- The Winner must agree to allow Hockley Valley Resort to use their name, wedding date, and photographs for promotional purposes without compensation.
- The Winner agrees to supply Hockley Valley Resort with a selection of professional photos for their use.
Conditions
- The Winner must comply with all terms and conditions of the contest.
- If you are selected as the winner, any deposits will be refunded following the wedding. If your guest count exceeds 100 or the total cost exceeds $28,410 (value of the wedding without contest sponsors) the deposits on file will be applied towards this balance.
- The wedding must take place at Hockley Valley Resort between July 1, 2025, and March 30, 2026.
- The prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and has no cash value.
- The wedding date cannot be changed once booked.
- All deposits made as an entry into this contest will not be refunded should you cancel the wedding.
- The winner will be responsible for coordinating directly with all vendors. Hockley Valley Resort assumes no responsibility for the vendors, their services or any failure on the Vendor’s part to provide the agreed-upon services.
Cancellation
In the event of a wedding cancellation, the cancellations penalties outlined in your contract will apply and your entry in this contest will be null and void. A new Winner will be selected.
Liability
- Hockley Valley Resort is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or failures that may affect the contest.
- By entering, participants release Hockley Valley Resort and Contest Sponsors from any liability related to the contest.
- The Winner holds Hockley Valley Resort harmless from any injury or damage that may occur during the wedding.
- Participants agree to assume all risks associated with the event.
- Force Majeure, in the event either party is unable to perform its obligation under the terms of this Agreement, because of the acts of God, strikes equipment or damage reasonably beyond its control or other causes reasonably beyond its control such party shall not be liable for damages to the other for damages resulting from such failure to perform or otherwise from such causes.
General
Hockley Valley Resort reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel the contest at any time without notice. By participating in the contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Hockley Valley Resort, Adamo Estate Winery, and Sunray, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability arising from participation in the contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.
Privacy
- Information collected from entrants is subject to Hockley Valley Resort’s privacy policy and will be used for the purposes of administering the contest.
- The Winner must agree to allow Hockley Valley Resort to use their name, wedding date, and photographs for promotional purposes without compensation.
