At Hockley Valley Resort, we’re thrilled to welcome you and your canine companions. We believe dogs deserve a getaway too, which is why we offer dog-friendly accommodations and amenities to ensure both you and your dog have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Dog Policy
- Behaviour Expectations: All dogs must be well-trained, well-socialized, and non-disruptive to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. Excessive barking, aggressive behaviour, or disturbances may require alternative arrangements.
- Cleaning: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
- Unattended Dogs: Dogs must not be left unattended in rooms unless crated. Guests must bring their own crate; however, if forgotten, we offer rentals on a (first come first served basis) for $10 per day. Please note that availability is limited.
- Pet Fee: There is a $50 fee per stay. Maximum 2 dogs per room.
- Size Limitations: We welcome dogs of all sizes.
- Leash Requirements: Dogs must be on a leash while in public areas.
- Restricted Areas: Dogs are restricted to dog-friendly guest rooms, Resort lobby for check-in/out, and outdoor allocated areas.
- Limited Availability: We have a limited number of designated dog-friendly rooms. If these rooms are fully booked, we cannot accommodate dogs in other room types.
- Dog Walking Areas: Designated outdoor spaces to enjoy a walk or playtime. See map below.
- A current rabies vaccination certificate must be received prior to your arrival.
Dog Amenities
We want to ensure your dog has the best experience possible while staying with us. Our dog-friendly amenities include:
- Dog Beds: Comfy beds for your dog to relax on after a fun day.
- Bowls: Water and food bowls are provided for your convenience.
- Dog Waste Bags: Waste bags are provided upon check-in. Please clean up after your pet and use the exterior garbage for disposing waste.
- Dog Walking Areas: Designated outdoor spaces to enjoy a walk or playtime. Scroll down to view highlighted map.
- Dog Room Service Menu: Because your four-legged friend deserves five-star service too!

Dog beds and bowls are provided for use during your stay. Any missing or damaged items will be charged to your stay.

We understand that your dog is part of your family, but we also need to respect the comfort of all our guests. To ensure a paw-sitive experience for everyone, we ask that you carefully manage your dog’s behaviour throughout your stay.
You know your dog best. Please keep in mind that unfamiliar surroundings can sometimes cause anxiety or unusual behaviour. We trust you to take the necessary steps to ensure your dog remains calm, quiet, and comfortable during their time with us.

Guests who arrive with a dog without having confirmed a dog-friendly room will be asked to find alternative accommodation for their dog during their stay.
Yes, there is a dog fee of $50 per stay. This fee helps cover the cost of a deep cleaning of the room and amenities provided for your dog.
We welcome 2 dogs per room.
While we do not have specific breed restrictions, we ask that you contact us before hand if you have any concerns about your dog’s breed or size.

Yes, guests must notify us in advance if they are bringing a dog. Dogs are only allowed in designated dog-friendly rooms, and availability is limited. We cannot accommodate pets if you arrive without prior notice.
For the comfort of all guests, dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, patios, pool, spa facilities, or the lobby (excluding check in/out). However, there are plenty of outdoor spaces for you to enjoy with your dog.
Service dogs with proper certifications are exempt from dog policy restrictions. Please ensure your Service Dog is wearing their service vest or harness.
For your dog’s safety and comfort, we recommend not leaving them unattended in the room for long periods. If your dog must be left alone, they must be crated and you must advise the front desk. If you do not have a crate, we offer rentals for $10 per day.
Owners are responsible for any damages caused by their dogs.
If your dog is disruptive or noisy, you will be charged for any damage or disruption to other guests. You may be asked to make alternative arrangements.
