Apprentice Instructor Program


Are you interested in becoming an instructor one day? Apply now to be an apprentice ski or snowboard instructor for the upcoming 2022-23 season. This is a great way to get valuable experience teaching and assisting experienced instructors with our multi-week ski and snowboard programs. Once you apply, you will be contacted by a member of the Hockley Valley Snow School to confirm your application and to give you more details about the required pre-season meetings.

Volunteer opportunities are for Saturdays and Sundays from January 7/8 to February 25/26. 2023. Additional opportunities over March Break.

Benefits:
Paid hourly wage. Daily training to prepare for your level 1 certification through the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors, training fee deducted at source. Uniform jacket and a season pass provided.

Requirements:
Be minimum13 years of age. Commit to 8 consecutive weeks, Saturday and Sunday’s preferred. Atte4nd pre-season meeting in November (TBA). Have your own ski or snowboard equipment and helmet. Be a confident and controlled skier/rider on Blue terrain and all lifts.
Attend the mandatory on snow training day on December 31, 2022.
